Visualize, analyze, and communicate project scope of work, Prepare preliminary cost estimates/budgets/schedules, Manage value engineering process, Distribute and manage bid plans and documents

Evaluates the development of new business and/or market segments, Responsible for strategic planning, establishing goals and targets for the company, division or business units, Responsible for development of new business for company, division or business unit

This person will be responsible for presenting the companys capabilities to the Baltimore-Washington urban residential and commercial development market and seeking out new business opportunities. The company seeks to leverage its WBE-pending status for future business development. Requirements: The right candidate will have a personality that interacts well with clients and be responsible for client development and building long-tem relationships. Typical construction project markets for this reputable company include residential or commercial gut and rehab, residential home renovations, multi-family and Section 8 renovations for various government and quasi government housing authorities. This client specializes in construction projects with complex logistics. Typical development projects for this company include urban in-fill projects, new residential construction and mixed use development,. They have a great reputation as being a top-caliber builder throughout the area and pride themselves on repeat business. It is essential to have established contacts and construction experience in the Baltimore-DC market but a strong record of achievement in similar markets would be appreciated. Experience Required: Must have construction knowledge and background in residential and commercial gut and rehab. Previous work experience with a General Contractor and a previous role in estimating would be an asset for this candidate. Background in selling construction services to local county governments or federal government is strongly recommended. A rolodex of 1) local county government contacts and 2) large builders looking to sub out work to WBE partners is essential.
