Human Resources

Safety / Risk Management / Insurance
Establish and maintain company programs for claims avoidance, Maintain OSHA-mandated record keeping and jobsite safety compliance files, Coordinate and administer safety training, Review and coordinate project-specific insurance requirements

Scheduling
Evaluate in real time schedule adherence, Maintain and update schedules for duration of jobs

Purchasing
Negotiate subcontracts and vendor contracts/POs, Sign subcontracts and vendor contracts/POs

Permitting
Understand permitting process and expedite permit issuance, Negotiate permit fees with municipalities

Executive
Ultimately responsible for success of company, division or business unit under your management, Manage and direct all functions/operations of company, division or business unit through staff members, Ultimately responsible for success of department under your management, Manage and direct all functions/operations of department through staff members , Continually reviews manpower utilization and approves all adjustment in labor force and staffing needs for company, division or business unit, Responsible for company, division or business unit P&L, Ensures that the company, division or business unit is in compliance with all governmental regulatory requirements, Ensures that company, division or business unit is in compliance with all insurance regulations, Ensures company, division or business unit is in compliance with all safety regulations, Responsible for strategic planning, establishing goals and targets for the company, division or business units

Establish and manage teams to oversee the design, management, construction, commissioning and certification of high school, middle school and elementary school complexesin the range of $100-$200m Establish and operate highly focused teams that will oversee large numbers of modernization and new school projects for LAUSD over the next 10+ years. Manage and oversee planning and master planning architects. Work with board staff to translate policy direction into actionable staff instructions Focus appropriate resources and energy toward high priority, high risk, high benefit projects for the Facilities Services Division Experience At least 10 years in planning, design and construction of facilities for public agencies, educational and institutional. A degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management is preferred Knowledge of 3CEQA, Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), California Department of Education, Office of Public School Construction, Division of State Architects. Ability to work with Labor Unions
