Office / Administration
Answer phone and communicate messages, Type and input data accurately, Input data into spreadsheets and reports, Accurately create, organize, and maintain files
Accounting
Analyze general condition costs to determine company overhead
IT / Management Information Systems (MIS)
Basic understanding of computers and computer systems, Analyze system needs and procure hardware and software, Create basic reports using generators such as Crystal Reports, Teach users common office software
Marketing / BD / Sales / PR
Expert: Communicate effectively using standard construction terms, Ability to sell company's strengths and experience
Effectively work business events and trade shows, Make personal cold calls
Preconstruction / Estimating
Expert: Visualize, analyze, and communicate project scope of work, Prepare preliminary cost estimates/budgets/schedules, Manage value engineering process, Maintain/create subcontractor/vendor bid list, Prepare quantity surveys/take-offs, Solicit bid invitations, Distribute and manage bid plans and documents, Communicate with subs - prepare RFP/RFI, Qualify and analyze bids, Analyze general conditions, Prepare project estimate/bid/schedule, Manage WBE, DBE, SBE, and/or MBE participation and recordkeeping
Safety / Risk Management / Insurance
Review and coordinate project-specific insurance requirements, Manage subcontractor/vendor insurance requirements
Purchasing
Expert: Develop and maintain vendor list, Develop final scope of work for bidders/vendors, Sign subcontracts and vendor contracts/POs
Project Management / Field Supervision / Service Management
Expert: Prepare project budget and schedule of values, Evaluate and manage project budget during construction, Obtain and distribute construction drawings and specifications, Maintain submittal and RFI logs, Develop contract change orders, Monitor subcontractor/vendor performance and adherence to specifications
Review and approve subcontract change orders

Education
College Degree: Necessary
Bachelor in the field of Construction Management
Field Experience:
Trade Field: General Field Experience - All Trades, 2 years

Advanced: ICE / MC2, Quest Estimating, Timberline
Project Management
Advanced: ProLog - Meridian
Language Proficiency
Speak & Write:
English
Licenses & Training
Vehicle License: Necessary
Motor Vehicle Operator License:
Current state issued non-commercial driver's license.
